Hurricane shutters and hurricane fabric

Protect your openings before the next storm. We install the shutter style that fits your home, your budget and how you want to close up when a storm is coming, and we handle the permit and the HOA paperwork.

Accordion shutters

Our accordions are the Genesis system, custom built for each opening by Guardian Hurricane Protection Products in Miami Lakes. They are Florida Building Code approved, engineered for 175 mph winds and eligible for insurance discounts. They stay stacked at the side of each opening, then glide closed on nylon wheels and lock in the center in minutes. A favorite for sliders, wide openings, lanais and second floors.

Bahama and Colonial shutters

Bahama shutters hinge at the top and prop open for shade and curb appeal every day, then drop and lock down for a storm. Colonial shutters frame the window from each side and swing closed when a storm is coming. Both are custom made to fit each window.

Bahama colors and blade styles

Choose a Z-blade or a 2-inch round louver. Bahama and Colonial shutters are powder coated, so you can pick almost any standard RAL color: classic white, ivory and bronze, or something bolder like teal, navy, green or charcoal. Bring a paint chip and we will help you match it. Tap a chart to see it full size.

Hurricane fabric

Hurricane fabric is our specialty. AstroGuard and AstroFlex panels are light enough for one person to put up, let daylight into the house during a storm, and roll up small for storage. We install fabric on windows, doors, garage doors, lanais and whole pool enclosures, in white or tan.

Hurricane-rated roll-down screens

The high-end option: a Fenetex MaxForce™ hurricane screen made with Twitchell OmegaTex™ aramid fabric, tested and certified for the High Velocity Hurricane Zone of Miami-Dade and Broward. It rolls into a slim housing out of sight, and comes down at the push of a button to wrap your lanai in a protective perimeter, keeping out wind, rain and debris. Day to day it doubles as a shade screen, blocking up to 91% of the sun. Six colors: Black, Black/Tan, White, White/Tan, Bronze and Granite. More on roll-down screens.
