Impact windows and doors
Impact windows and doors protect your home every day of the year, with nothing to put up when a storm is coming. We help you pick the right product, then measure, order, permit and install it ourselves.
Why go impact
- Always on. No shutters to close, no panels to store, and no rushing around before a storm.
- Security. Laminated impact glass is very hard to break through.
- Quieter and cooler. Impact glass cuts outside noise, and Low-E options block heat and UV that fade floors and furniture.
- Insurance. Rated opening protection can help on a wind mitigation inspection. Ask your insurance agent what credit applies to your policy.
- Value. Buyers in South Florida look for impact windows and doors.
Windows
Windows are where you have the most choices, and every one is built to your exact opening, in aluminum or vinyl frames, white, bronze or black.
- Horizontal rollers (HR): one sash slides sideways. Great for wide openings and easy to operate.
- Single hung (SH): the bottom sash slides up, the top stays fixed. The most common window in Florida homes.
- Double hung (DH): both sashes move, and they tilt in for easy cleaning.
- Casement: hinged on the side and cranks open like a door, for the best breeze and a tight seal.
- Awning: hinged at the top and opens outward, so it can stay cracked open in the rain.
- Fixed and picture windows: don't open, so you get the biggest view and the cleanest look.
- Specialty shapes: arched tops, half rounds, bay windows and custom shapes to match the house.

Glass options

- Clear or tinted: clear, gray or bronze tints to cut glare, or a special blue tint for a clean coastal look.
- Low-E: a coating that blocks heat and UV, so rooms stay cooler and floors and furniture fade less.
- Privacy and decorative: frosted, obscure or rain glass for bathrooms, entry doors and street-facing windows.
- Grids: colonial or other grid patterns between the glass, or none for a modern look.
- Impact rating: every option is laminated impact glass, and some products can be upgraded to insulated impact glass for even better energy savings and noise control.
Sliding glass and French doors
Impact sliding glass doors in two, three and four panels, and impact French doors, sized for patios, lanais and pool decks. The same glass options as our windows.

Front entry doors
Impact-rated front doors from Therma-Tru, Masonite, Plastpro, BHI and other lines, in fiberglass and steel, single or double, with sidelites and decorative glass options.

How an impact job works
- Visit and measure. We look at every opening and talk through styles, glass and budget.
- Quote. A free quote by email, and a detailed proposal opening by opening when you want one.
- Engineering, HOA and permit. We order wind-load calculations where needed, prepare the HOA packet and pull the permit.
- Production. Impact products are custom made for your openings, so there is a factory lead time. Ordering early matters, especially before hurricane season.
- Installation. We remove the old units, install the new ones to code, and seal and finish them.
- Final inspection. We meet the inspector and close out the permit.
